Summer Songs

Summer Songs (For adults, secondary and primary)

This concert is perfect for A2 English level upwards and can be adapted for students from upper primary through to adult English learners .

The blue skies and warm days of summer have inspired some great songs across many decades and musical genres. From George Gershwin´s 1935 jazz masterpiece "Summertime" and Eddie Cochrane´s 1950´s rock n roll classic “Summetime blues” to modern day summer hits such as “This girl” by Kungs and Cookin on 3 burners or "Summer" by Calvin Harris this concert moves from upbeat pop songs such as “Here comes the sun” (The Beatles), “Surfin Safari” (The Beach Boys) or “Soak up the sun” (Sheryl Crowe) to more warm lazy melodies like “Lovely day” (Bill Withers), “Easy like Sunday morning” (Lionel Ritchie/The Commodores) a touch of reggae “Jamming” (Bob Marley) or to the funky dance sounds of “September" (Earth , Wind and Fire), "Dancing in the Moonlight" (Toploader) and “Happy”(Pharrel Williams)…

It´s quite simply impossible to imagine the summertime without music!
